NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) has reported only the 3rd coral bleaching global event. These events are caused by global warming and ocean pollution. More at earthsky.org.
The decline in population of some birds in the UK could be down to home owners insulating their lofts. Bird species that nested in loft space can no longer do so because of the drive by properly owners to get their heating bills down. Sources Bird Trends BBC
