Sea ice increases in Antarctica do not make up for the accelerated Arctic sea ice loss of the last decades, a new study finds. As a whole, the planet has been shedding sea ice at an average annual rate of 13,500 square miles (35,000 square kilometers) since 1979, the equivalent of losing an area of sea ice larger than the state of Maryland every year.

Is it really new

I was reading this morning about electric cars being charged as they go along by pads in the road! This is not a new concept as it has been demonstrated before on programs like Tomorrows World and we know how long ago that finished. So why do we keep pretending this is new? why can we not admit our dads thought of it first and give them so credit.
