Russia to protect citizens from genetically modified food


In Russia the Duma has passed a first reading of a law to ban the growing of GM plants and animals,except for scientific purposes.
The Government is given the right to ban imports of GM goods if there is any adverse effects on humans or the environment

Is it really new

I was reading this morning about electric cars being charged as they go along by pads in the road! This is not a new concept as it has been demonstrated before on programs like Tomorrows World and we know how long ago that finished.   So why do we keep pretending this is new? why can we not admit our dads thought of it first and give them so credit.
