Ship Size Reduced in Panama Canal


The size of ships that can traverse the Panama canal will be reduced in september draft will be 39 ft from 39.5ft due to a drought caused by ELNino. This is expected to effect 20% of  ships that pass through the canal.
   This is not the first time this has happened back in 1998 the limit was reduced.
